Who shall attend:
Personnel responsible for processing or accepting goods presented as general cargo (Role b) or; Personnel responsible for handling cargo in a warehouse, and loading and unloading unit load devices (Role d)
Course Objective:
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- have a general awareness of dangerous goods;
- understand the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders;
- identify hidden dangerous goods;
- understand the basics of dangerous goods classifications, labels, marks, and packaging;
- check both package and documentation for indications of undeclared dangerous goods;
- determine loading and segregation requirements of dangerous goods;
- report dangerous goods accident and incident and report undeclared/misdeclared dangerous goods;
- have emergency response procedures in accidents/incidents related to dangerous goods
Course Content:
1. Understanding the basics of dangerous goods
- Recognizing dangerous goods
- Understanding general limitations
- Identifying different roles and responsibilities of stakeholders involved
- Understanding the importance of classification and packaging
- Understanding hazard communication
- Familiarizing with basic Emergency Response
2. Process and accept cargo consignments other than dangerous goods
- Check documentation for indication of hidden/undeclared dangerous goods
- Check packages for indications of hidden/undeclared dangerous goods
3. Managing cargo pre-loading
- Determine stowage and segregation requirements (i.e. segregation, separation, orientation, securing and protection from damage)
- Check package indication of hidden dangerous goods
- Check for damage and/or leakage
4. Collecting safety data
- Reporting procedures for dangerous goods accidents
- Reporting procedures for dangerous incidents
- Reporting procedures for undeclared / mis-declared dangerous goods
- Report dangerous goods occurrences.
Certificate awarded:
A Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and assessment.

3.5 hours of Classroom Training. (09:15-12:45)

Enrolment Policy
1. Course will commence daily at 0915.
2. The course fee includes tuition, notes, examination, and certificate.
3. Participants who have purchased a copy of the IATA DGR for the DG course will receive a new book on the first day of class; no extra copy will be available for the training.
4. Medium: Cantonese (supplemented with English).
5. Enrolment Procedure:
a) Kindly complete the enrolment form and send it together with a cheque made payable to “Sky Safe International Consultant Ltd.” (please write your name and course code on the back of the cheque) to West Wing, 2/F., 822 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
b) Applications will be treated on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis upon receipt of payment. We accept registration by phone, fax, or email.
c) Letter of Course Confirmation and invoice will be sent out via email after receiving the enrolment.
d) Application is subjected to Sky Safe International Consultant Ltd.’s approval. Sky Safe International Consultant Ltd. reserves the right to reject any application due to circumstances and for whatever reasons. Therefore, submitting the enrolment form and cheque should not be construed as acceptance of admission.
e) Cheques are subjected to bank clearance, and receipts will then be issued accompanied by the certificate.
f) Sky Safe International Consultant Ltd. reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient enrolment or unforeseen difficulties arise.
g) Sky Safe International Consultant Ltd. reserves the right to change the program contents, schedule, or venue at any time and without prior notice if it so deems necessary. We will notify those affected by the changes by telephone, and all those affected by cancellation will be entitled to a full refund or a place on the next available course.

Cancellations and refunds: An administration fee of HK$300 will be charged for each amendment/ cancellation made on the application ONCE the Course Confirmation Letter is issued. No guarantee or amendments could be made within 2 working days before the course commenced.
Refunds will not apply after the commencement of the course.
